What exactly is Vince's obsession with constantly having Brock as champion? From 2017 Raw had been left without a fighting champion and now the same thing will happen on Smackdown.
Also Kofi had the belt from Mania and went through many guys during his reign only to get squashed by Lesnar. Not a good start on Fox.

AEW absolutely swarmed WWE this week. WWE had more than 3x the programming time this week, and promised all brand new stuff. Yet almost every title was on the line and only one changed hands, into the hands of Brock Lesnar, someone pretty much everyone can agree with isn’t new stuff. WWE is about to learn the hard way that they cant air the same old  and rebrand it as “all new content”. They have competition now, and they’re gonna see real quick what all new content really is. The bad part is the best thing WWE put on this week went head to head with a new shiny product and people didnt watch. Honestly NXT was MUCH more enjoyable then AEW was but numbers didnt show that. Vince may have thrived on competition at one time but I honestly think hes lost right now. His business decisions have just been so awful. |

That Smackdown sucked hard! Total garbage. Way to debut on the new Network. it was so mediocre, except for the parts that were worse than mediocre lol.
The woman's tag match was boring. The Lumberjack match was boring. The Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke match didn't happen. The Kevin Owens vs Shane match was decent at best, but who cares, we were all bored.
Even the Rock segment was useless. I LIKE THE ROCK! But tonight, boring out of the gate. Then that WWE Title match...…...wow. Lets put the WWE Title back on the no show UFC douche. And you ask "How could WWE possibly make this worse"
By bringing in ANOTHER, WORSE UFC Douche to be the only person in the world who can beat Brock. Because screw professional wrestling ! SPORTS!!
If I hadn't watched WWE my entire life, there is no way I could have tolerated them the last few years and tried to support them, because they suck more an more by the day. It's sad. And they have so much great talent. They just can't execute. And I know everyone loves the Fiend, and he is cool, but I can't enjoy it. he is just lost in the shuffle of all this boring nonsense.
Really, NXT is the ONLY thing WWE have going for them. NXT is a great product. But I'm glad we also have AEW.

Not even a fan of Kofi and his run but I sympathized with how bad he was made to look....all of his build-up and he disappears right after he loses like some video game character...I mean, that's how you make your world champion look?? Like some scrub afterthought??!

I honestly thought it was Ortiz at first - until he took off the shirt and you saw "Brown Pride". Also, I don't care about Kingston losing the belt - I've got nothing against the bloke , but he was lucky he was given it to begin with. Now he can go back to being a mid-card, novelty act. It will be interesting to see if this Strowman/Fury thing develops into anything - I'd say probably not. I'd have to say the most surprising thing of all, was seeing Erin Andrews on a WWE broadcast. |

I don't know about these legit fighters going up against WWE superstars. They might as well had Baron Corbin knock out The Rock since he is a former Golden Gloves champion. The New Day should turn heel anyway. Brock Lesnar is laughing all the way to the bank.

Great show until the main event.
Seriously, SD is gonna become MMA light. Who cares about Cain Velasquez in 2019? They crapped on 7 months of build for Kofi just to make Brock look “strong” again. All it did was make Kofi, and the numerous guys he beat clean look like geeks. Atleast let Kofi put up a fight. He looks bad because we just saw them book Rollins to show everyone how to overcome Lesnar.
Rock/Corbin was fantastic.

I believe The Rock might be the greatest entertainer in wrestling history. This is coming from a guy that was never a fan of The Rock. He brings out the best in everybody.

Great show, but I wish they could’ve had this show go at least 30 minutes longer. Where was Stone Cold, Undertaker, and sting? It also kind of hurt seeing kofi lose in that fashion knowing he is probably not gonna get a rematch now either. They had a Kickoff show Start at 7:30 EST, but it was a red carpet thingie and no meaningful content. Thought I heard Ali's music cue up but it wasn't anything shown. Yep, you heard his music alright. On his twitter, he posted a photo from a dark match before the show started. Mustafa Ali vs Buddy Murphy. Honestly, that should’ve been the opening match (technically it was the opening match, but not on live television) to get everyone hyped up and show that Smackdown was serious. |

Upfront: Have only read the results, not watched.
But still!!!!!!
They didn't even give Kofi the respect of a match (much less a decent match) for him to drop the title!
Even a simple, ten minute match to let Kofi build some steam and cheers, then to have it ripped away would have been better. And more in story with what they have been doing with him since Wrestlemania.
So we were all screwed out of TWO awesome championship matches this week just to "SHOW HOW AWESOME BROCK ISSSS!!!!!"
No wonder WWE is losing viewers and the pro-wrestling game in general. Why something like an AEW was able to jump on the scene.

Best part of the show was Tyson Fury's appearance and that is saying something. WWE just doesnt get it anymore and that Kofi burial was absolutely brutal, Lost the title he has had for the last 6 months in 5 seconds and swept under the rug right after for an awkward 5 minute Lesnar/Cain stare down.
And unless im straight tripping but wasnt Stone Cold advertised to make an appearance?

He looks completely identical to 20 years ago. He does not age. Shamrock just went back to impact and is having a match on their next PPV. If it wasn't for the definite chip on his shoulder with WWE this could have definitely happened. Theme for the 2020 Royal Rumble. |
