My only gripe is the Target Exclusives honestly. I think my thread title mislead, but it also brought up a nice debate. Target exclusives are terrible because their distribution and restock is horrendous. Wal-Mart exclusives, which are Legends are WAY easier to find than Targets current roster. I feel as though if they would just put the exclusives 2 per box it wouldn't be so bad. But then again, most Targets only get 1 case per series it feels like. There's only been 1 Collectors chase I really wanted from Target and that was Liv, other than that, I've found every Legend at Wal-Mart, and I'm hoping Anvil doesn't elude me. I wish that Mattel would chime in, because I know they browse these forums from time to time. I think aside from better distribution (Knock on wood) the Walmart exclusives are easier to find because the target demo don't care about legends as much as us older collectors. With Target getting NXT exclusives and NXT now on USA, coupled with distribution problems, the Target exclusives are much worse. Sucks because I was interested in Ohno but Gorilla's a bigger want personally so no biggie.

Walmart Exlcusive Gorilla Monsoon found in store today. Pics? No reason to be your gopher, why would I lie over something like that? People do that here? Pictures are on Twitter and FB groups from the individuals who have found him. Someone found him in PA and the other person found him in Rhode Island. Someone currently is selling him on eBay for $75 and has him in hand.

lol at the debate. we collect figs. we would spend money and buy the figs if we could. we cant always. so who's the prob, the collectors or stores/mattel? If stores didn’t order the figures anymore, the line would be dead. So Mattel has to make their product attractive to retailers. That’s the reality of the business. And whoever is in charge of boys toys at Target has no reason to care about people getting all buttimus hurtimus on Wfigs. There is no utopia where Mattel says “screw the retailers, we can just magic all the figures you want into your hands.” Either Walmart and Target keep stocking the line, or it dies. its that they are not sending out enough of the figs. again, getting u in the store is one thing. making it so u hasve to check a dozen walmarts/targets to get a fig is what sucks!

They can only send what retailers are ordering. If they're not fulfilling orders, then they're reneging on a purchase order, which is an entirely separate problem (which would probably lead to the line being dropped from stores, which isn't happening, sooo...)

I have a different feel with them. As I’m from the UK we don’t get them anyway, they are always double in price for us due to the only place we can get them is EBay 95% of the time and I’m not really complaining as such I guess I’m saying that’s just the way it is. When I have a little spare cash I will get some from eBay - we also have to pay loads fo shipping and imports which is annoying. I just wish some places here in the UK would stock them but I totally get that defeats the object of being “exclusives”.

The exclusivity doesn’t apply worldwide, any substantial UK toy seller could get them. There just aren’t many substantial UK toy sellers, and the ones we have don’t want them.

No, what he's saying is that collectors are hurting themselves at retail by buying them months in advance online. Think about how many times we've seen people lament that preorders are't up for a set that's three ahead of what's already at retail. But if they buy them months in advance online how are they hurting themselves in the stores if they’ve already got those particular figures because they ordered them? Unless I’m missing something, it looks to me like it’s hurting those of us that wait for them to hit store shelves instead of preordering online....why would somebody buy them online & then scour the store shelves to find the very same figures they’ve already got at home?? I don’t understand the logic there if that’s the case Yes, I'd say you're definitely missing something. This is the farthest thing from complicated, but somehow you added two and two and got a hundred and six. If people buy the figures months in advance online, then there's no reason to buy them at retail. Ergo, stock sits on retail shelves, new sets don't come out as quickly, and everyone laments how terrible retail is because nothing is getting stocked...even though collectors did it to themselves. Will those figures still sell? Sure, eventually. But stores aren't going to be in a hurry to reorder and restock stuff that hangs around for weeks and months. No reason to be your gopher, why would I lie over something like that? People do that here? Pictures are on Twitter and FB groups from the individuals who have found him. Someone found him in PA and the other person found him in Rhode Island. Someone currently is selling him on eBay for $75 and has him in hand. So you don't have the time to post the link to a picture, but you have the time to post that it exists, AND you have the time to make snarky rebuttals. I'd say you have plenty of time on your hands.

Stores aren’t getting these new figures, because the old ones are still sitting on shelves and in the distro centers. With more and more internet sales, the less likely the standard series is to move as quickly. It’s not Mattel’s doing or the stores. Collectors are screwing themselves out of finding these how? by not buying the figs you dont want so you can 1 down the road MAYBE if your lucky enough to find it. your saying we should clear off the shelves of constant cena & HHH repaints in hopes of maybe finding a briscoe? and if i buy all the figs at my store to clear the shelves and next case comes in and i misss briscoe by a day who did that just help out? What year are you living in that we have shelves full of Cena and trips? It’s the truth. If what’s on the Shef isn’t selling, they won’t reorder. It’s obvious from your posts on here that you just want to point blame at someone, but it’s as simple as what I stated above

My Walmart had E69 on 9/20 and almost sold out instantly except for Brie who didn't sell for a few weeks. They didn't get a new case until Thansgiving morning, E71. Nearly two months! Sometimes restocking is very random even when you'd think it's automated by inventory levels. Star Wars Black is at a low quantity at my store but no restock since Force Friday. Then Light Collection Power Rangers had at least ten figures pegwarming, but a new case came in two days ago. Go figure.

I get it but also get Mattel’s point. They likely wouldn’t get permission to do these are main line releases so it’s better than not being out at all. It’s still An effort to get the figs out in a decreasing retail landscape. In my personal experience these store exclusives are becoming increasingly easier to find as well so it seems atleast in my area they are being better distributed. Again, not a piece of cake but still better than just not having these figs released at all Which seems to be how it is now
