Hulk Hogan vs Sting(WCW)Early on these two would be allies with the feud against the Dungeon of Doom being the prime example of that. But the friction between the two would begin when Lex Luger turned heel at Havoc 95.Hogan would then accuse Sting of being in cahoots with Lex and with that we got our first ever meeting between the two on an episode of Nitro that November.Gotta mention Hogan's descend into the ''darkside'' during this time as he would wear black for the first time in a prelude to what was to come. Things would get back on the right track though after this as both sides got back on the same page by WW3.Fast forward to the following Summer and man have things changed in the WCW. We got a new rebel pack running around in the form of Nash and Hall who wanna take over the company.Sting,Mach and Luger would be the 3 who would stand up for the company and we got our showdown for BATB that July.A match that would see the infamous heel turn of one Hulk Hogan who would betray all his Hulkamaniacs by turning on team WCW and joining up with the Outsiders to form the NWO.That Fall Sting would walk out after proclaiming the WCW doesnt trust em in the fight against the NWO.Well done segment but it mean the end of the Surfer Sting would return before the year was up but in a more darker tone similar to the crow.A look that he would keep pretty much for the remainder of his career. It was from there for a good year in which he would sit in the shadows not uttering one word as he would attack both WCW and NWO guys with the question being what is his mission? We would find out later in 97 that his mission was to face Hogan one on one. Some of the best build ever for a match here but man how it would fall apart that December. Sting would win the belt at Starrcade in the long awaited match but it was botched so badly by the company.over 23 years later and it still boggles my mind how badly screwed up this after the awesome build.Still shaking my head for sure. The follow up was even more of a mess with the two meeting on Nitro the next night with the match ending inconclusively. This would result in the title being vacated with the two set up for the big rematch at SuperBrawl that February in which Sting would prevail thanks to help from Randy Savage.Again more mess here and just overall terrible booking for Sting. We got a pinned thread here in the classic section over it!This would be the end of the feud for now but things would pick back up in late 99 between the two.It was at Fall Brawl in which Sting would defeat Hogan(who at this time was back in the red and yellow) for the World Title with him turning heel in the process with help from Luger. One of the worst heel turns of all time. Just a failure on all levels. The rematch was scheduled for Havoc the following month but it didnt happen as planned as Hogan would come out in street clothes and just lay down for Sting leading to the pin. Hogan after this would take time off. This was Sting's final run as WCW champ and just like in 98 it was a flop. This would be the end of the two feuding in WCW as the only interaction they would have post this would be in 2000 with the whole New Blood vs Millionaires Club angle. Overall... A feud that started off HOT with Stings transformation and the whole year long build to the showdown with Hogan only for it to fall apart on their biggest show of the year.It never recovered from that.Shame but hey that was WCW for ya.

I was all in on Sting kicking Hogan's ass! I thought the lead up to it all was great, but the actual match was such a let down. I might waste my Sunday watching parts of this on the network.
Another great write up dude:)

No mention of TNA in 2011? In all seriousness, the feud in wcw was epic until the Starcade match and the Nitro the night after. Basically Hogan beat him clean twice but it didn’t count. It was stupid.

Hercules vs Ted DiBiaseThis feud would begin during the Fall of 88 on an episode of Superstars. It was there in which Bobby Heenan would sell his own family member to be a ''slave'' to Ted DiBiase. Herc didnt take to kindly to this with his response being one the money man wasnt expecting. With this Herc would turn face and we're off here.At SSeries that year they would on the opposite ends in the main event when the Mega Powers team faced the Twin Towers team.DiBiase would get one up here on his foe by pinning em.Herc would get revenge right after this on SNME by defeating bodyguard Virgil in a match built as the ''battle for freedom''. This didnt end the feud however as it continued on into 1989.During the Rumble match DiBiase would once again get one up on his foe by eliminating with the help of the Barbarian. The feud would climax in February on the Main Event with the DiBiase getting the win. Overall...Herc did all he could as a member of the family so it was for the best to turn em face here. These two have history in Mid-South so it was cool to see em interact here in the WWF. I also liked how on commentary for a good few years after this Gorilla especially would talk about how Bobby sold out Herc.

Steve Austin vs Brian PillmanWith this entry I'm gonna focus more on their WWF feud. The feud in WCW after the Blonds split didnt go far as more of the focus was on Pillman and Col Parker. and a chicken suit of all things. But the heat would be turned up with these two in 96 when Pillman arrived in the WWF.At first they seemed to be on the same page but things would go south quick on an episode of Superstars that October when Pillman(who was praising Bret in the ring) during a promo with ticked off Austin to the point of the Texas native kayfabe breaking Pillman's ankle.Pillman needed legit surgery stemming from the car accident he had earlier in the year so this was a good way to write em off. Austin came off as a KILLER here and looked like a legit badass in the process. This would lead to the infamous ''Pillmans got a gun'' segment on Raw that November.Little preview of the direction the company was going to for sure here. Props to em for making it as believable as possible.Pillman playing the crazy man with Vince on commentary all concerned sold the whole thing. Following this Pillman would be off TV as Austin continued on with foe Bret Hart. The loose cannon would return though that following May on Raw to attack Austin in a surprise return. This would reignite this one with the two on a collision course for KOTR that June but in the end it would change to Austin and HBK. Pillman didnt leave that even unscathed though as he got his face stuck in a toilet courtesy of the rattle snake in a classic bit.The end for this feud would come that July in Calgary at IYH in the classic 10 man tag match.Awesome all around here humanoids with a how crowd to boot.Still holds up 24 years later thats for sure. Overall...WCW messed up back in 93/early 94 with a feud between these two but man did the WWF take the ball and run with it in 96/7. Must see TV with guys playing their roles to perfection.Just imagine if Pillman lived and we got these two facing off in 98 when the AE was in full swing. Man oh man.

This was awesome stuff indeed, this was the true start of the badass Austin for me! The whole thing with the gun, Austin calling him a criple! This would not go down on WWE TV in 2020 that is for sure lol.

Looking back, I gotta give props to Pillman to the transition from smiling babyface to crazy heel. He really put everything into the loose cannon gimmick and it showed. It was short but still a memorable run.
Another one in the long list we lost so young.

Andre The Giant vs Ultimate WarriorThese two would cross paths during the Summer of 89 on the Brother Love show with Warrior getting right in the big mans face with him declaring how he would put em down for the count.Off to an explosive start with this one! From there with Warrior at the tail end of his feud with Rick Rude,Andre would get in the first blow by choking out em out prior to SSlam on Superstars. The feud would be set in motion that Fall.It was during this time we would be introduced to....The Ultimate Giant! Loved the unveil here These two would do battle on the house shows but it would usually end with Warrior winning in quick fashion. With Andre's health it made sense. They would be on separate teams at SSeries that year with Andre getting eliminated right out the gate by count out. What did he say when he was leaving the ring??!! The grand finale to his one would come on SNME right after for the IC belt with Warrior getting the win. Overall...We got the Ultimate Giant during this one. Instant thumbs up from me.

Andre doing the job to Warrior in like 30 seconds on house shows was bad, but these 2 were not going to put on clinics.

As a kid I watched the match these two had on the ultimate warrior video over and over again. It was far from a classic match, but I loved it and still think warriors body slam on Andre was better than Hogan's

Undertaker vs Mr. HughesAnother short entry here humanoids. These two would cross paths on an episode of Superstars prior to the King of the Ring. This is where the dead man would be attacked by foe at the time Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes with the latter taking hold of the precious urn. With that Hughes would hold onto the urn for a good portion of the Summer with him taunting Taker in the process. They would cut promos on each other nd have matches on house shows but as far as TV goes nothing ever materialized as Hughes would leave the company before SummerSlam.Taker would regain the urn at the PPV with no mention of Hughes to end this short and uneventful feud. Overall...Yeah cant say much about this one.Hughes was better off in ECW following this though. I enjoyed the run he had there the best from his career.
