AEW Dynamite just by existing put NXT for two hours every week in primetime on USA Network.
AEW just by its existence alone has changed the game.
Great American Bash for 2 nights doesn't happen without AEW either.

Not late-WCW, like Judy Bagwell on a Forklift... late, as in when they began losing the Monday Night War. Which, in my opinion, was fat before they started losing in the ratings. if that's your honest opinion and you're not being intentionally inflammatory, then fair enough. as someone who watched both WCW and TNA, as I'm sure you did to, my opinion differs majorly. AEW reminds me of wwf 1997/98 - younger characters who felt slighted in wcw, the wwf took them and allowed them to find their characters and be booked as stars if they earned it. it's a creative environment, where as wwe has been stale for far too long. First off, I love the comparison to WWF in 1997/98. Secondly wwe has mostly been lazy creatively since killing WCW in 2001. If they get good again to the point they kill AEW, it will be the same old crap afterwards!

If they get good again to the point they kill AEW, it will be the same old crap afterwards! Listened to a podcast yesterday which posed the question to D-Lo Brown who was on the Attitude (WWF) side, "did you guys ever think about what happened after you won the war?" He said everyone, WWF & WCW were so dead set on hitting the finish line, none thought of what the two steps after looked life, figuratively speaking, for the state of the business. In retrospect, going to promotional war and a company folding as a result is actually bad for the business. Let's hope that doesn't happen with AEW or WWE.

I read a possible spoiler on who will moderate the debate on Wednesday. All I will say is I hope the person isn’t a regular!

This person has never appeared on Dynamite and I hope they’re not a regular afterwards. Maybe it’s not who I think and if so I’ll tell you in the 8/5/20 episode thread on Wednesday.

There's not really a spot for them on the show and I'll bury the f*ck out of Tony Khan if he hires him to help out behind the scenes. I get flack in the WWE board because I LOVE everything AEW does. People here definitely know that's not the case. Hiring this surprise person would be just as bad as WWE putting Prichard in charge. This thread has gotten long in the tooth, but if this person is brought in it'd fit the title perfectly.

Tony Khan said that Hulk Hogan isn't welcome in AEW. That doesn't work for me brother.

AEW doesn't have a superstar like Hulk Hogan or The Rock to take them to the next level.

AEW doesn't have a superstar like Hulk Hogan or The Rock to take them to the next level. Neither Rocky Maivia or Terry Boulder were next level stars the first year in, I think AEW will be okay.

AEW doesn't have a superstar like Hulk Hogan or The Rock to take them to the next level. What they need instead is a Tom Magee.
