The ironic thing about all this: If Epic hadn't have taken over, people who preordered their figures would never have got them. Chella was down the pan and not being cared about. As someone who worked with Chella I was owed money for a long time by them...and not a small amount either. I'm not one for bringing up crap when it's not needed, but it boils my piss to hear what's happening right now. Epic are actually the ones making series 2 happen. They showed completed samples (not painted prototypes) at FTLOW this year...clearly showing these things in production. Sure the wait time may have been longer than you wanted, and the updates may not have been as frequent as you like, but there are updates. If I preorder a mezco or hot toys figure (which are 3+ times more expensive) these are often hit with delays with no updates...it happens. If this causes you too much of an issue with waiting don't preoder. Try your luck when they come in stock. You're not being forced to preorder it. There would be no series 2 without Epic. Simple as that. Thank you! I've been saying the whole time that taking over isn't an easy thing to do. Yes they started taking over late 2022, so f'n what? Be patient! Matt Cardona spreading falls rumours ain't helping either... Wait or don't preorder, pretty simple!

That's a very solid point, and I do agree. I also don't like having both members of a tag team having the exact same body type. And since Owen's Hasbro has that action, I'd love to get an alternate body for Koko. Mitch does seem to take constructive suggestions seriously though, so who knows, maybe the figure could change before production? Either way, I'll still buy him. It kind of makes sense with Koko because Owen and Anvil do habe the same pose aswell. With this being said, I really couldn’t think of another matching pose for Koko.🤷🏼♂️ Suplex pose; Koko also had the Ghostbuster (brainbuster) as signature move.

Well Marty Jannetty showed a sketch on his facebook (wrongly describing it as a bendy), so I'll own one...

Anyone else in the UK ordered these directly of the powertown website and have gotten a heavy custom fee? As others have said, UK customs are a gang of nonces. They're filling their pockets and there's usually no rhyme or reason to what they decide to slap a charge on. Not just UK customs. I think they all just throw darts: Bam! You pay 125. Bam, 40 for you!

Anyone else in the UK ordered these directly of the powertown website and have gotten a heavy custom fee? Pretty normal, that's your country filling it's pockets. Been there many, many times... Oh the figs I could've bought instead of wasting on customs...

Probably referring to Demolition, Powers Of Pain, Sir Mo and Eddie Guerrero. Exactly! These were all announced and shown by previous owners, more importantly these are all people who signed contracts with them long long time ago that deserve their figures. As long as Series 2 is coming along, which they have said so and updated images of, then I see no issue with working on what comes next also. Because there is no issue, only people that are convinced that time frames are set in stone.

Epic toys should stop planning new figures and hyping new signees and finish what they started. Especially items that the fans have spent their hard earned money on. Am I missing something? I can’t see any ‘hyping new signees’ anywhere from Epic Toys? This seems to be a pile on of people not actually doing their research and assuming what’s being said by others. The only new figures I can see are previously announced ones? Probably referring to Demolition, Powers Of Pain, Sir Mo and Eddie Guerrero.

That is a strange take but at least allow me to explain: He half-responded to one question (deliberately skipping and ignoring all others). I presented it as an opportunity to clear the air and he chose not to and instead wanted to use it to get another dig in. His response was to not take the questions seriously nor was it good enough to be effective (aka credible). He has every opportunity to help the situation instead of hurt it which is what I have been trying to do all along. Well, you asked: Cardona answered: In my book that was a pretty viable answer. Ofcourse Epic Toys won't do that, they have every right to sign wrestlers and design new figures. And yes production and shipping will take a while! Don't like it, don't pre order: pretty simple. Epic Toys is a small company, Super7 not (that small). Even Cardona should understand that...

I was at my buddy's toy shop yesterday and he said that series 2 could be "quite the rush". Take that as you will. Hopefully we find out soon. I guess: aaah what a rush! Road Warriors/L.O.D.

Do you listen to our podcast? We’ve expressed our frustration with how long the process has been…especially in last week’s episode. Which may or may not be why there are updates all of a sudden. I do which is why I mentioned it. Up until juuust this past week, there might be a few seconds dedicated to say there was no update. So enlighten all of us what the differences are between this situation and the Epic Toys situation. Simple: Super7 U.S. company, Epic Toys U.K. company, Major Players U.S. citizens.

No idea who you're targetting here - Cardona or Epic Toys - but it's kind of a useless rant. The previous post explains the Valentine delay. You want to rant at Cardona or Epic Toys, go bark at their trees: they DO have their own social media pages... You have known me for years now so please believe me when I say that the previous message nor this one is a meaningless rant. I definitely shouldn’t have used the word rant nor should I have gone about it in a personal way. I make no excuses and apologize for not addressing it in a broader way. It is part of a much bigger discussion but an important one. After this post, I will try to keep my posts shorter and less rough around the edges. If you’re not sure about anything I am sharing, then please ask. To help you better understand, Matt Cardona has spoken negatively of Epic Toys for the second time in recent weeks. I’m not against that as I am not a tribalist. I do take issue with the unethical way he is going about mentioning it each week but I will leave that alone. If you need me to elaborate, I can do so in private messages or on social media as you suggested. My actual goal or concern here has more to do with protecting the reputation of a company or protecting the money of the wrestling figure community (myself included). So why not go to social media about it to begin with? Let’s be real. If someone has a fanbase and you bring up a sensitive issue that they helped to create, you more often than not get drowned out by sycophants and quite possibly will be banned/blocked. This forum is a more neutral venue. I have proven to be a fair critique of the MWFP and defended them at times that others have unfairly attacked them. Again, please trust in what I am saying as there is actual importance in what is happening right now. Either a small company is being unfairly attacked or a customer base is in jeopardy of having their money misused/taken. This is the problem with spreading rumors and only releasing partial information. I invite Epic Toys and anyone from the MWFP to speak directly to this here or elsewhere. Personally I never had trouble ordering from Chella (besides the fact their MOCs were far from being case fresh MOMCs). I don't know why Epic Toys had to take over, nor have I ordered from Epic Toys, however I DO realise taking over is not something that goes smoothly. Since both companies are from the UK and I live in Europe, I guess getting my order (when they have it in stock) should be rather quickly. My guess is that most impatient complainers (including Cardona!) are U.S. citizens; they're not accustomed to patiently await a package. They're used to walk into the store, buy their mass-produced $20.00 wrestling figure and happily go home. Now there are these small companies who simply CAN'T mass-produce $20.00 figures, who have to work through pre-orders and might be located outside of the U.S. while maybe partnering with a U.S. dealer where they will ship to before that dealer can ship to the U.S. citizen. I have all the faith in these small companies, sadly that means the U.S. experiences the waiting game. As a European I play that game for over 25 years...

Small rant about hypocrisy…there is a fair chance Matthew Cardona is reading this. For someone who likes to complain about clickbait articles and dirtsheets, do you not see the similarities by making vague comments about Epic Toys screwing someone over and lying? Why even bother bringing it up at all if you aren’t going to do something? Saying that it isn’t your place to tell the story is fine if that person plans on sharing that story. But if not, what is the point of you gossiping? That doesn’t make you the Michael Jordan of wrestling figure collecting. That makes you the Dave Meltzer Ryan Satin of the wrestling figure community. Do better. No idea who you're targetting here - Cardona or Epic Toys - but it's kind of a useless rant. The previous post explains the Valentine delay. You want to rant at Cardona or Epic Toys, go bark at their trees: they DO have their own social media pages...

Don’t want to be hyperbolic about this snd yes I haven’t held one of their figs but the pics we are seeing for the other line have got me excited about these Someone mentioned mini figures I think after an interview with Steve from powertown. Do we know what they mean? Are they like muscle figures? Would be logical: Remco did Mini Mashers.

These need to be in the powertown line style not remco its not 1970s anymore. That figure style (aka MOTU-style) is from the '80s, not '70s! These will definitely end up in my collection!

unless Mattel are gonna redo some of those styles, I don't think that there is a wrestler who's been around for them all? the closest I could think of was Taker, but didn't he miss out on the LJN line? Hulk Hogan is closest, all his WWF/WWE figures: LJN: 8", Bendies, Thumb Wrestlers, 16" HG Toys: zipper-pull figure, clip-on Winston: eraser figure Hasbro: Series 1, 2, 3, 5, Mail-Away, Royal Rumble mini ring. Applause: figure with molded on base, keychain figures Star Toys: 3" PVC figure, 14" figure Jakks: Smackdown Draft 14 (TTL), several other TTLs in 2- and 3-packs, CS 8 (RA/CS), several other CS figures, Backlash 2 (BCA) Mattel: several Basics, Elites, Legends, Ultimates, Defining Moments, Masters, retro, Super Stars Stackdown: several sets Funko: several POP, Mystery Mini Loyal Subjects: several figures

All, except Jakks BCA and RA I guess! Jakks RA and CS are the same style, so he is just missing a BCA although I could swear a Hulk Still Rules Hogan was in a one shot BCA return set. Right, the Backlash Hogan was BCA-ish.

You DO realise Dynamite Kid was shipped just a few weeks ago right?
Personally I wouldn't hold my breath for the next 6 months. Then again, you could always contact Epic Toys/Wrestling Trader...

Haha right?! Maybe you did have the bigger one. I got him brand new in the box a bit ago. Just never thought about making a post about it until now. I use him as a generic masked wrestler in my FigFed roster. There’s just something about this figure I just like since he’s officially named as masked wrestler, even though we all know it’s supposed to be Rey. I should have taken a photo of the big one next to Goldberg. He honestly looks like he could stand a slight chance against him compared to the smaller guys. Is it supposed to be Rey? Because The Giant Smash and Slam figure came with an official pack-in Rey. And if they were wanting it to be Rey, why not just use that original pack-in figure? It's obviously Rey, why he's called Masked Wrestler is unknown. Maybe Rey didn't want to be constantly depicted as "jobber". Smash N Slam Goldberg came after the others.
