Repaint wave is a little pessimistic. It's featured new head sculpts for Luger, Taker, Hogan, Nash, Fake Diesel, Teddy Long.... And either upper or lower body sculpts for Teddy Long ref (although it is split between this wave and the SSlam one) and the Disciple...
So there is at least some new tooling despite clearly a lower budget than even PPV series'. Although they could have looked at sculpting new heads for at least 1 first time in the line figure per wave and using pre-existing body parts because that is essentially what they've done in each wave anyway but for guys who've had multiple figures released already. Keep the budget low by choosing less deco on other figures like they've done for Nash, Austin, Hogan.... but at least use this as an opportunity to give us never before had wrestlers FFS....

Yeah this is a major letdown.
Not only have they replaced it and probably will never see the light of day - we get ANOTHER release of a guy who's had a couple already from the same era, but Mattel have gone back on their word to release one of the Nitro stage exclusives in elite form - when they said they'd never do it. And it's not even one of the figures like Scott Steiner that we actually wanted....

I find it funny that this time a year ago and ever since we got more pictures of Bret (display shots, official shots, in packaging shots all prior to mass release) - overwhelmingly on here, facebook, IG - the majority were saying how much they liked the Bret heads.
I was baffled because they looked beyond ridiculous to me. Glad pretty much everyone commenting here say the same but this is poor from Mattel. They just can't stop from messing with Bret's likeness and not taking the good and sticking with it. The elite 94 head looked great. Why couldn't they do what they've done for so many other sculpts and alter the file to fit the era and put the correct hair from the time on? They could have just used E94 as a base and built on it.
Piper's heads look ok, apart from the hair. He had that bryl-creamed, brushed to one side hair on what, ONE occasion in WCW? The rest of the time it was just a tiny bit messy.
I just don't get their choices sometimes....

They've messed up the lightning on every single non-Wolfpac Hogan figure. The UE's is too blue and thick surrounding the white. Needs to either be muted and smaller or take out the blue entirely. The WM18 is literally just the same as the UE which is completely lazy and ridiculous. How the hell does this look like the UE?: Then the 3 pack HH is so disappointing. Wrong font on the Hollywood, ridiculously over-exaggerated lightning and that bandana and shirt would have been a slam dunk but they f'd it up royally....

If it's an exclusive, then they have every right to do so and have done this before, let's not forget. Regarding the arms - the UE Mankind model may have new ones. Although they do look like the common single-jointed Austin-style arms just updated in the render with cuts to make it look double jointed. :

What's the story behind this? Was it some sort of rib on someone/himself....? Either way it looks ridiculous, and we'll never (thankfully) get a figure of it from Mattel. But those Terminator and crossbones boots are perfection. Those would go down well in figure form (they'd need to alter the Terminator head enough to avoid CR).

Hey all, I'm thinking of subscribing to this eventually.
Is it pretty complete? Anything censored/removed? Wondering what the overall concensus is for it.
Also - TNA had a lot of "rip-off" themes, so I was wondering if they dubbed over them like they do on WWE Network/Peacock?

We need WCW Sid with the white socks, black trunks, vest, short curly hair and new body mold. He could include a leg as an accessory. Although, I can’t remember if he snapped his leg before or after he wore trunks. And chest hair. I'd settle for Cesaro/Hogan upper legs, Sid lower legs/boots and Mean Mark Callous upper body.

The arms look ridiculous. I said the same when the DM Mankind was released.
Lazy AF. It's Kurt Angle syndrome. They should be making more unique parts rather than shoving square pegs in round holes...

His UE torso is fine. To make it thicker would make it look ridiculous.
I've written multiple times in AFA Q&A thread that we need more double jointed elbow arms because guys like Austin, RVD.... have the ones that are too skinny. They even gave them to D'Lo Brown and they look ridiculous.
The legs thing would be so simple - just give him Stunning Steve Austin/Ringmaster upper legs. I don't get why they have to give the same lower half molds for every Stone Cold Steve Austin figure, but they can give Stunning Steve the thicker ones.
They change the parts for some guys when we've asked (eg AJ Styles E105) but refuse to on others....

Is it the exact same mold? I would assume it'd be too big for Hall's torso

It was a terrible line and throwback to a terrible incident, which was in poor taste in the first place. But the fact Bischoff repeated it a second time made it even worse because they clearly were expecting an audible collective "gasp" from the audience and it literally got crickets....

I feel like this is what they were going for so I think the Hogan gloves were the way to go over any other glove mold they have. Should he be thicker? Yeah but we have been saying that since Elite Series 1 so I doubt they’ll ever give him (or Mr Perfect) a thicker torso. Is Mattel blind or incompetent? Just look at the size of Undertaker in 1998 and compare that to his MNW release, It's laughable and it shouldn't be happening in 2024. 😔 This isn't directed at you but I wanted to add onto the discussion and use that picture as comparison. This MNW Undertaker shares the same torso as the Network Spotlight Undertaker, which I'm looking at in between typing this and comparing it to the Legends 19 Undertaker (which is about as wide as the UE). Looking at that picture and the torso for this MNW figure and the same for the NS, it's not as bad as everyone's making out. Basically the crotch pieces on the Legends 19 and this MNW one are the same width, the lower torso sections are roughly the same width. If not, slightly (only slightly) in favour of the Legends figure. The lats on the Legends and UE figures are so wide because they decided to give him such wide shoulders. It never looked right even when they first showed the UE. Look at that picture. He doesn't have super wide shoulders and he doesn't have that "v-taper" body type. The shoulders are in-line with his lats. So if anything, Mattel screwed up his Legends and UE figures. The lats on the MNW/NS torso are slightly too slim, but the issues are less bothersome than how the shoulders look. The width of his shoulders are completely fine believe it or not. But the tunic is too close to the body. It needs extending over his shoulders a little. Add a small amount of thickness to the lats (it really doesn't need much at all), and the proportions of this figure would be more in-line with that picture than the Legends/UE figures. Maybe I'll do some crappy photo editing to show what I mean.

As a 16 year old British kid watching this, I was perplexed more than anything.
I only knew Rosie O'Donnell from the Flintstones movie and Donald Trump I had heard of here and there and kind of got who he was but not really.
But how Jerry Lawler would try to pretend both really were the actual people just made me like "Huh? What am I missing here?"
With no clue of relevance, reasoning or relatability (being British), I didn't understand why it was being shown. It was a waste of 10-15 minutes and I didn't get what the point was.....

And yet he was barely ever injured during his 2010-2016 run in TNA. He was absent for like 7-8 months in total over that time, but it was never disclosed that he got injured IIRC. I'm not counting the concussion he suffered because that's Jeff Hardy's fault.

That simultaneous elimination was a thing of beauty and could not have gone more perfectly (not counting the Vince thing, talking purely of the Batista-Cena element).
It was like poetry in motion. They could not have landed more in sync.
The whole thing about the aftermath and the referees raising the hand of their respective brand's man was really clever too. That was what made me feel it was scripted but they could have thought so quickly and were maybe told in their earpieces (if they had them, I forget). Both Cena and Batista trying to eliminate each other during this confusion was also well done and highlighted how they both "got it".
But you look at Batista's face after falling on the outside mat, he was like "s***, have I f***ed up?", visible confusion and not knowing what to do. That's what makes it clear it wasn't intended and you go along with Prichard's recounting of it all.
I'd have liked Vince to not have stolen the spotlight with his quad tear, because it does take it away from the finish. It's one of those "famous for the wrong reason" moments that basically eclipse the original drama. What would it have been like and how would we remember it without Vince sitting in the ring? Who knows. I'd like to think it would have stood on its own. Similar to Luger-Bret but this tops that IMO.

Interesting story, but ok....
Basically he was a brash loudmouth pr*ck. You say you don't know what his gimmick was supposed to be but he still showed more charisma and was more entertaining than like 75% of the roster at the time.
He had a cool look and moveset too.
Basically the way he described himself when he was in TNA (an a$$****), is what his gimmick was.
And he was Mr Kennedy vs Ken Kennedy in the exact same nickname way Rocky Maivia started referring to himself as "The Rock" in late 1997. As in, initially he was billed as Ken Kennedy but he referred to himself as Mr Kennedy (Tazz even had to correct Michael Cole around this time), and it was only a few months later in 2006 that they started to just refer to him as Mr Kennedy. Some merchandise including figures by Jakks Pacific still called him Ken Kennedy up until sometime in 2007 I believe.

Hi Steve/ Action Figure AttackI really liked seeing the new double jointed arms on the British Bulldog Greatest Hits (Legends). Are more double jointed arms being tooled in the near future? I'd be great to see those Bulldog arms used on others who have larger but less defined arms than the standard slim arms we've had recently. Could we get some arms suitable for those with larger than those used below, but smaller than the ones used for guys like HHH, The Rock, Warrior....? I think larger ones than in the pic with RVD would suit Steve Austin. Thanks!

Hey Action Figure Attack what do you think about clothing packs - for example additional t-shirts, shirts, entrance gear for specific wrestlers. Maybe offer it up on a more direct to market basis - eg Ringside or MC? For example - shirts for the Rock, NWO t-shirts, Kurt Angle UE singlets.... I believe the costs involved may prevent it but I think it would be a nice venture
