If its a direct repackage, I'd be happy. If its a slight repainting, I'd be happy. If its a new attire, I hope its one that I'd like to have in my collection.
Mattel could even release the original figure in its original package and I'd be happy. I'm not a MOC collector and I don't feel like paying high prices on a secondary market. I just want my collection on my shelves to look nice, that's all I care about.

I really want to get that L5 macho man I've been thinking of biting the bullet on eBay , but is he just gonna get a second release anyway?? And as some one said - why didn't u just get it the first time round? Well I started collected just over a year ago after I found all my old hasbros from when I was a kid in the loft. People start collecting all the time, you can't just assume we have all been in since the beginning . I want a hhh dm but he goes for like £200!in the uk and that's even if u can find him - I don't think they should straight release again but should do slightly different versions for us who missed out the first time

I think it's a good idea even though I got multiples of the warrior hbk and taker, so the release doesn't get me excited as much as the majority. But if they can release a Scrapped Legends Macho, Nash and early elites of Batista I'll be happy.

Here's what I don't understand. People who love rereleases love em because they don't have those figures. But why didn't they buy them the first time around? Most of these figures could have been found easily with a little bit of hunting or online at RSC by paying a little more. Why cater to the customer who couldve already purchased this figure and passed but now having regrets? Really? hahaha... How about.. maybe they werent collecting during that time frame? Whatever the reason is....who cares, they want the figure and Mattel figured why not make some $$ themselves instead of the people that hoarded them and looking to make a buck.

Love it. I'm all for it. You should all be for it. Imagine just getting into this line. Imagine having to fork out hundreds for figures that you could have had at retail. Its a deterrent. Why start collecting now? I'll never be able to afford a Diesel or Bam Bam. Mattel is making the right choice here. Why let resellers and secindary markets take money that Mattel could be making.
There are benefits for those who have these figures. First off, its a figure you don't have to spend money on. Thats extra money that month. Secondly, I imagine the cost for these are lower since the parts, molds, etc are already there. Its paint, plastic, and packaging. So, I assume the extra income from this will be able to fund future figures that you will all want.
This is a community, and this is whats best for a community. Its 2016. Toys shouldn't be rare, valuable, or hard to find. Everyone should have access to main line figures! We still have our SDCC's;)

E45 has been the biggest kick to the balls since I started collecting Mattel.

I've been collecting mattel since launch and have that HBK and Taker already..but missed out on that Warrior never seen it and now I will have a chance to get it for retail price. He will be the only one I will be getting unless Jericho is a flashback WCW version. Or even early WWF. I only have his elite 20 figure.

I missed out on four years worth of figures at retail until I decided to start collecting.

Not a big fan of rereleases because I've been collecting the line from the start, but I can understand the appeal for some. I don't mind the occasional rerelease but would much, much rather see repaints/variations. To me, it's common sense -- you can release something similar that ALL of us will want to buy, not just the few who missed out the first time around.
Either way, I hope that the rereleases are kept to a reasonable number and not out of control. Shelf-warming legends can't be good for us in the long run.

It's good for the collectors that just want the figures and don't care about the value. For the resellers and collectors who care about resale value it sucks for them

If you truly believe the Legends and Flashbacks are not being marketed to adult collectors, then you're delusional.

If there is demand for them, sure. There are many people in the world - it's not always about YOU personally.
If there isn't demand, however, and they clog up the shelves, well, that's gonna suck.

I agree with Hayabusa. Name one kid out there that knows who tf Magnum TA is. Heck some of these kids don't even know who HBK is haha. If it ain't Cena or Roman, the kids don't know. I'm 25 and I'm familiar with Magnum, do I really know who he is or have I seen any of his matches? No.

Im all for it, I'm not one to buy figures for profit and since I don't allow myself to pay more than $30 for a figure it will make it easier for me to get a figure I missed out on.
