I wanted to try this with the old OSFTM WCW rings.

Wow, that's awesome!
What a way to start a collection.
You should get a ring next.

You have a photo of the $400+ one? OSFTM CMLL Arena Mexico That's cool. I don't know if it is 400 bucks cool, but thanks for sharing!

It's like Dixie was actually keeping that company from going even more into crap. Everyone was so sure things would get better with her gone, but seriously, since she left, it's gotten worse, to where it's affecting other companies and wrestlers now. I'm glad someone said that. I think Impact has some cool wrestlers and through all their ups and downs has always had potential for a great product, so I just stay somewhat up to date and hope for the best. You could leave your event thinking "hey at least it meant I got to see ________", so hope for that. Like the last little while after seeing pretty much all the WWE guys I wanted to or the guys I want to see have mostly retired, I'd like to see Abyss...especially if he brings the mask back.

I noticed this for any old locked threads where I want to surf some nostalgia.

Good to see another toybiz collector . The turnbuckle issue isn't something I've heard of . I have 3 of these rings and no issues. Thanks so much, this helps a lot! Yeah, I really enjoyed reading through your old posts and seeing your collection when I was looking up TNA threads on here!

I personally prefer to collect things with some kind of Playset.
I don't think I'd like collecting wrestling toys if a line didn't have a ring or cage available.
I'd suggest getting into some vintage toy collecting, if you like wrestling there's a ton of old lines to collect.
I really like collecting G1 Transformers then fixing them up. You can get ToyHax stickers and reissue parts and clean all the gross bits off and end up with a brand new looking toy with a very vintage feel. Kind of like restoring old cars...but cheaper...mostly.

I've pulled the trigger on most lines but right now I'm looking at Japanese Wrestling figures, I love LJN and Galoob and OSFTM non-moving wrestling figures and the fact that Japan has kept it going mostly all in scale and added detail and accessories...just so cool...but I don't think until I find a ring or an unbelievable deal I'll pick any up.
Another is GI Joe vintage vehicles, I have the figures but have yet to find a vehicle I really want to bring home.
I collected He-Man and TMNT until I was a teenager but I've been thinking about getting back into it and adding some vehicles/Playset to the collection. I just don't get as excited about them but you never know what'll make you crack, lately I've been playing that TMNT Legends app and I also love the old SNES/NES games so that could be what finally breaks me down.
I find my main issue with the Turtles is I find it hard to find a definitive version of the four Turtles I like the most. The rest of the characters it's usually their first release I'm happy with but for the Turtles I'd kind of like to have four I like more than the original versions of the toys.

Anyone else disappointed with Batman Unlimited? I watched the movies last week and really enjoyed them and I thought, "wow, cool! These are based on toys? I'll have to check those out!"
Then I did and they're just horrible.
I don't get how in 2017 we're getting some of the worst Batman figures ever made in that line and then they decide to make a YouTube show and multiple movies for it?
Mattel makes some wicked figures and then they make these dollar store looking Batman figures and I don't think it's a "because they're for kids" problem because the Transformers Rescue Bots line is amazing along with so many others.
I'm hoping maybe if the movies gain enough attention they'll slowly improve the figures.
Has anyone else felt this or have you picked up the figures and been pleasantly surprised or what?

I loved the Genesis version more, I thought Papa Shango was really cool and Hulk Hogan was the staple of a wrestling game.
Such a tease they wouldn't even have Flair vs. Hogan in a video game Battle...I don't get it!

WCW/nWo Revenge probably, but there are a lot of close seconds.
I am in the minority but I loved playing Legends of WrestleMania and TNA Impact! over and over and over again too.
I think a lot of it has to do with your favourite company/era, if you didn't think the Attitude Era was the high point of wrestling then you're not going to think much of No Mercy.

You can edit your shows and make your story unfold like that, skipping the matches that don't interest you if any are left after you edit the show.
I think of Universe Mode as an Exhibition Mode with a story and injuries added.
Plus reaching a PPV in Universe just feels more gratifying than just setting a match to a PPV setting in Exhibition.

A lot of people had N64 and loved WWF over WCW around the time it came out, so WCW/nWo Revenge got kicked to the side and No Mercy was then the last best wrestling game for N64.
The other thing was that you could update the roster endlessly. Just keep customizing everything about each character and each one had four attires on top of it.
It wasn't my thing but that's why.

Yeah, I thought the real revolutionary game was WCW/nWo Revenge and then after that Smackdown! for PlayStation which is the same series 2K continues today.
No Mercy was in between those but didn't do it for me.

The first game I ever played a Rumble on was Royal Rumble for Sega Genesis but it wasn't until the first Smackdown! game for PlayStation I actually won a Rumble in....I think.

It looks like the Switch might get NBA 2K, so there's a chance of WWE2K.
